Can you believe that the summer program starts next week? This year, the Calvert-FSK Summer Scholars enrichment program runs from June 24-July 19. There are some changes to the schedule for returning parents. The day still begins with breakfast at 9:00, but the day will end at 4:00 instead of 3:30. For students traveling to and from Francis Scott Key, this means that the bus still departs at 8:30am, but now it returns at 4:30pm.
Parent Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, June 20th from 6:30-7:30pm. The directors will discuss details about the program for this summer including scheduled field trips. We hope that you will be able to come! See you soon!

Two Remaining Events!
We have two remaining events. We will return to Real Food Farms to see how our work paid off. We will meet at the facility May 18th at 9:00am to see the progress and do some more volunteer work. The afternoon activity is still pending, but we will do something fun, and we will have lunch.
The following Saturday, May 25th, we will go to Outward Bound at Leakin Park for teambuilding, low ropes and high ropes challenges, and a cookout. Space is limited so sign up today!

3rd Annual Bowling Event
Join
us for the 3rd annual Calvert-FSK Scholars Bowling Event! It
is an opportunity to bowl with students from your MGP partner school. Calvert
and Francis Scott Key students will have chance to meet and interact.
As
an added bonus, the event will be used as a fundraiser for the summer program!

$20 for 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, pizza and soda.
There will also be a
raffle! Raffle tickets will cost $1, with a maximum of 5 that may be
purchased per family. The prizes are on the attached flyer.
